About the club
A neighbourhood association that turned a worn municipal track into a place where three generations of Cluj children learned to compete honestly.

Mission & vision
Our mission is to make organised sport genuinely accessible in Cluj-Napoca: affordable, safe, well-coached and open to children regardless of income, ability or background. We use athletics and team sport as a school for discipline, punctuality, resilience and respect for an opponent.
Our vision is a city where every child lives within walking distance of a training group that will take them in, where adults keep moving well into later life, and where adaptive sport is a normal part of the weekly calendar rather than an occasional gesture.
Fair play first
Results matter less than how they were earned. Coaches are accountable for conduct as much as performance.
Open door
No child is turned away for inability to pay. Scholarship places are budgeted every season.
Safety and safeguarding
Every coach is vetted, trained in first aid and bound by our child protection code.
Community ownership
Parents, alumni and local businesses sit on the club's general assembly.

History & legacy

2002
The club is founded
Six parents and two physical education teachers register the association under number 17304/A/2002 and begin training thirty children on the municipal track.

2006
First county medals
Our U14 relay squad wins its first county championship, and the club secures a permanent slot in the Baba Novac sports hall.

2009
Community fitness begins
Weekly free outdoor sessions for adults and seniors start in the neighbourhood park; attendance passes one hundred within a year.

2013
Scholarship fund created
Local businesses fund the first twenty full scholarships covering kit, transport and competition fees.

2016
Adaptive sports program
In partnership with two special schools, the club launches wheelchair basketball and adapted athletics sessions.

2019
Regional host
The club organises its first regional youth championship, bringing eleven clubs and four hundred athletes to Cluj.

2022
Twenty years
An alumni gathering marks two decades; more than sixty former athletes return, several now coaching in the club.

Today
Four permanent programs, forty coaches and volunteers, and roughly three hundred and twenty active members each season.
